Abstract:
The importance of machinery exports as a traditional and significant factor of geo-economic positioning of the region in the world economy is considered in the article on the example of the Rostov region. Potential of the region is determined and the directions in the regional machine building clustering are proposed. The current state and prospects for machine building clusters of the Rostov region representing essential growth poles of machinery production and exports are studied. Particular attention is paid to the experience of Saint-Petersburg as a vivid example of the strengthening positions in machine-building production and exports through the formation of clusters.
