Abstract:
This article examines the impact of Vietnam's accession to the WTO for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which face increasing competition due to the liberalization of access to the Vietnamese market for foreign companies. Based on the analysis of dynamics change and the qualitative characteristics of SMEs, their role in providing jobs, income and well-being increase of the population of Vietnam is revealed. The importance of SMEs in increasing localization of components and auxiliary materials while reducing their imports to improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese exports is justified.
