Abstract:
In the article, the authors consider the history of the emergence and development of the custom of presenting and exchanging business cards. They analyze the practice of exchanging business cards during the Middle Ages in Europe, later in America and then consider the modern customs. The common practice and business card exchange custom for business communication in Europe, Asia and Latin America is considered in detail. Besides, the process of using business cards in Russia is examined. Particular attention is paid to a variety of errors in the preparation of business cards and in their presentation with a view to exchanging them.
