Abstract:
The article is to give the description of Belt and Road Initiative unveiled in 2013 and its integral part, the Silk Road Economic Belt. The aspects explored are some of the important economic problems China faces at the moment (among them: declining growth of GDP, declining growth of export, unequal development of different regions, sustaining high level of employment and bringing greater prosperity, maintaining of the competitiveness of the domestic economy, providing of the energy security) and the analysis of solutions to these problems through the implementation of the project of Silk Road Economic Belt. The significance of this project for development of China economy and its influence in the world are analyzed as well.
