Abstract:
The present paper aims to analyze foreign economic activities of the Ural federal district in 1997-2017 and to reveal its development prospects in the context of geo-economic priorities. Decrease of the district’s share in the country’s foreign trade raises a question about differentiation of its commodity and geographical structure. Due to the median geographical location and strengthening of foreign economic relations on the Eurasian continent, including China’s initiative “One belt, one way”, the Urals gets an opportunity to use the specifics of the current period of infrastructure development of the international economic relations on the Eurasian space.
