Abstract:
The article examines some factors affecting the development of foreign trade of a country.The author emphasizes the changing role of tariff measures as a tool of trade policy. Particular attention is paid to non-tariff measures and foreign trade barriers related to customs formalities at the border. The analysis of the main international standards aimed at simplifying trade in goods was carried out. The World Customs Organization concept of Coordinated Border Management,developed also to support the implementation of the WTO Agreement on Trade Facilitation is considered.
