Abstract: South Africa is a country with a huge potential for intensive development due to the rapid development of information and communication technologies and the Internet. The digitization of the economy covers all spheres of the economic, social and political relations reflected in the growth of the country’s international indices. The first step was the creation of a regulatory frame- work for the development and use of high technology in e-commerce. However, there are still unresolved issues including taxation. Nowadays, South Africa has created digital platforms in certain markets. We can assume that the next stage will be their interconnected association based on the exchange of data and the creation of digital platforms of new generation covering a huge number of different markets. Russia with a powerful potential in the sphere of high technologies has the opportunity to implement the technological linkage of the South African business to our technologies.
