Abstract:
This article is devoted to the current issues of non-oil export growth on the example of educational services of the Ural region state universities rendered to foreign citizens. Based on the analysis of historical trends in training foreign students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, the authors have evaluated a regional share of the trained foreign citizens in the total number of foreign citizens trained in Russia; identified the countries, from which future students come; revealed specializations and forms of education that are in demand. Besides, the authors have compiled rankings of the state universities according to their contribution to profitability of educational services exports in the Ural federal district areas and give suggestions on how to attract foreign citizens offering different educational services on a contractual basis.
