Abstract:
Licensing of certain types of activities is carried out in all countries in order to prevent infringement or violation of rights and legitimate interests of entities in their business areas. Each country independently makes decisions regarding introduction of any barriers to business in a particular industry. Based on the practices of several foreign countries, the authors examined some aspects of international experience in licensing of transport and freight forwarding activities and proved that this measure not only limits access to the market for unfair players, but also leads to the creation of additional competitive advantages. As a result, customers of transport and forwarding services might also benefit, and even without increase in costs.
