International trade in services under digitalization: finding an optimal approach to regulation

Abstract:
The article analyzes and summarizes key trends in international trade in services under digitalization, as well as the main challenges of multilateral regulation. The impact of digital platforms on changing business models of international trade in services is shown. Advantages and disadvantages of digitalization for the participation of different countries in exports of services are highlighted. The author concludes that there is need to transform the current system of regulating international trade in services within the framework of WTO. Key drivers that will determine the future of trade in services were estimated.
