Abstract:
The article analyzes the current state of the global agro-industrial complex and measures taken by some countries to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus on national food systems. It is concluded that the markets for basic food products are well provided with lower global food prices, the market outlook is positive, and there is an upward trend in trade. In addition to the existing ones, some measures are proposed to alleviate the negative impact and consequences of the current and potential pandemics with similar development trends on the food security in future.
