Abstract:
Spain is a developed industrial country, a member of the European Union, which has successfully extended foreign trade activities paying special attention to boosting exports and facilitating internationalization of Spanish companies in the last decade. The article presents the major macroeconomic indicators, analyzes Spanish foreign trade from 2008 till 2019 focusing on export operations, and examines the changes in export-import operations and the geographical and commodity structure of foreign trade activities. The article raises the issue of successful implementation of the government policy for business internationalization and export growth with its geographical and commodity diversification. The key export support measures at the institutional level that contribute to the solution of the tasks are identified.
