Abstract:
The article examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the implementation of China’s large-scale geo-economic project – the Belt and Road Initiative. In this regard, such negative aspects as weaker financial standing of its participants, higher debt burden, delay in completion, revision and even cancellation of individual contracts are considered. The changes in China’s policy, which should give a new impetus to the Belt and Road Initiative, are shown.
