Abstract:
The article examines the evolution of the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) and the impact of different approaches on multilateral regulation agenda. The author analyzes correlation between the adoption of AI and the resulting intellectual property (IP) objects. A comparative analysis of various AI systems based on the modern classification is carried out as well. The author comes to the conclusion that the role of AI will be increasing over time and will contribute profoundly to economic, social and cultural changes. Countries that fail to devote resources to creating favourable framework for AI implementation today may run the risk of lagging behind in technology and increasing the gap with the countries leading in artificial intelligence tomorrow.
