Russian Foreign Economic Journal, 2021, issue 1, 106-113
Abstract:
The article considers the long-term changes in international production. The slowdown in industrial production after the global financial crisis of 2007-2009 was revealed. Stagnation in cross-border production capacity investment was a major cause of the slowdown in trade, and global value chains trade in particular. Key factors of growth and slowdown in international production are identified and summarized. Special attention is paid to the analysis of absolute and relative indicators that measure changes in foreign direct investment and international production. The implications of the slowdown in investment and international production for the economic growth are identified.
