Abstract:
The article deals with the imports of foreign technological equipment for agricultural purposes to Russia. An overview of the international trade in this kind of equipment and of the changes in its imports to Russia is presented. The authors consider the stages of concluding a foreign trade contract and its execution. Some of the most important aspects of the negotiations, in particular on getting a discount on the price of the equipment, are revealed. Approximate costs and expenses the buyer - payment for the equipment and its delivery to the buyer’s warehouse – are assessed. The importance of supervising the maintenance of the purchased manufacturing equipment, in particular the warranty and after-sale service, is noted.
