Abstract:
Iraq today aims to intensify socio-economic processes, the most important catalyst of which remains international trade. The article analyzes the main current trends in Iraq’s international trade, primarily its dynamics and structure, for 2000-2020. The author shows that Iraq’s international trade has been developing erratically, which requires additional efforts from the government to form an adequate foreign economic policy. The international statistics of UNCTAD were used as a basis for the study. Based on the conducted research, the author comes to the conclusion that there has been some transformation of geographical patterns of Iraq’s trade.
