Abstract:
The article examines the main stages of the introduction of trading system for carbon dioxide emissions in China. The possibility of including new industries in the coverage of the system is currently under consideration. This mechanism is an important element of China’s environmental policy aimed at reducing the emission intensity of GDP while sustaining strong economic growth. These approach and experience deserve attention in the development and implementation of carbon regulation in Russia.
