Abstract:
An extremely acute situation is developing in the global fertilizer market. Even before the events related to Ukraine, the already difficult situation is now aggravated since Russia is one of the largest suppliers of mineral fertilizers to global markets. Therefore, if problems continue to be created in financing this work, in insurance, in logistics, in the delivery of goods, then exorbitant prices will rise even more. A possible Russia’s refusal to export its mineral fertilizers could lead to serious consequences in the world considering the decrease in their production abroad and the constantly growing food demand. Russia is one of the three largest suppliers of mineral fertilizers in the world and plays an important role in ensuring global food security.
