Abstract:
The article analyzes the strategic growth directions of German chemical multinational corporations (MNCs) under current conditions. The factors of uncertainty in the external environment of chemical MNCs after the pandemic are identified. The trends in the evolution of chemical MNCs in a dynamic and unstable environment are analyzed. The features of the development of markets and directions of international trade in chemical products in the post-pandemic period are determined. Methodologically, the study is based on existing approaches to the transnationalization of large companies in international business. Significant changes in the nature of operations and performance indicators of German chemical MNCs under the influence of a combination of internal and external factors are revealed. It is concluded that the business strategies of the largest chemical MNCs increasingly take into account the impact of globalization, digitalization and the transition to a knowledge economy. The study reveals the relationship between the growth of German chemical MNCs and technological innovation.
