Abstract:
The article analyzes the changes in China’s foreign trade in the last decade and features of Russia-China trade cooperation. It is noted that Russia ranks only 13th in the list of China’s export countries in spite of the special nature of Russia-China political relations. The structure of Russian exports to China is still dominated by energy and raw materials. The share of machinery and equipment is unlikely to increase in the coming years. China’s imports will edge up, but China can replace only a fraction of goods subject to Western sanctions. The bilateral trade is constrained by the risk of U.S secondary sanctions against Chinese companies.
