Russia-China Investment Cooperation: Current State and Prospects

Abstract: The article explores China’s investment policy and Russia-China investment cooperation in recent years. It is noted that its economic achievements are largely the result of creating favourable conditions for attracting foreign investment. Special attention is paid to the volume and structure of foreign direct investment (FDI) in China, its outward FDI and reciprocal investments between Russia and China. The article highlights the most important Chinese investment projects in Russia and Russian ones in China. Moreover, promising areas of bilateral investment cooperation and its constraining factors are identified.
