Cluster and Factor Analysis of the Southern Railway Route of China’s “One Belt, One Road” Megaproject

Abstract: Until recently, globalization and integration were considered to be the leading processes in the world economy. Within the framework of which, special attention was paid to the development of international transport corridors, deepening of international cooperation and expansion of industrial cooperation. China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative is one of the largest integration projects. The main goal in international logistics is the construction of new and modernization of existing transport corridors connecting China with the countries of Europe, Central and South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. In this article, the authors conducted a cluster and factor analysis of the Southern Railway Route of the “One Belt, One Road” project. The cluster analysis allowed to unite potential participants into groups with similar characteristics and features in the context of the project. The factor analysis made it possible to identify the main factors influencing the successful implementation of the Southern Land Corridor within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” project. The obtained results could allow to improve the decision-making and to develop strategies in international relations and for economic development. global market for thermal coal, coal production and consumption, exports of Russian coal, structural and technological shift s, international trade, technological development.
