Foreign Trade in Russian Technologies at the Present Stage

Abstract:
This article examines the state of Russia’s foreign trade in technology at the present stage. Current trends and features of technology export and import development in the country are analyzed, and competitiveness of Russian technological products in the global market is assessed. The article considers the main factors influencing Russia’s foreign technology trade, including the economic policy, legal framework, scientific and technological potential, and innovation climate in the country. Besides, an overview of the main sectors of the economy where Russia has competitive advantages in technology is presented. Based on its results, conclusions about the current level of development of foreign technology trade in Russia are drawn.
