Russian Foreign Economic Journal, 2024, issue 6, 46-52

Abstract: Due to the current sanctions and competition for international trade routes, new priorities in developing the national system for international goods movement are emerging. The directions of export cargo flows are changing, which requires modernization and expansion of the main international infrastructure, where the railway transportation system plays a crucial role. The article identifies key investment areas for the development of domestic international infrastructure in the medium term. Prerequisites for creating Russia’s transportation and logistics configuration over the long term are also considered.
