Abstract: The article analyzes a diversity of expert opinion on the effects of restrictive measures imposed on Russia in the context of the current geopolitical confrontation. The presented expert opinions are diverse, quite contradictory, and almost every one finds confirmation in the current realities of Russia’s foreign and domestic economic policies. However, the authors conclude that in the short-term period, which currently accounts for the largest number of restrictive measures, the negative effects of sanctions pressure could not outweigh the positive ones.
