Abstract: The goals and objectives of this research are justified by the interest in studying the development of agricultural biotechnology in the world and the related roles of the private corporate sector and the state. The author attempts to identify the role of the largest multinational corporations (MNCs) and assess their activities in terms of both private and public interests. At the same time, particular attention is paid to the analysis of authoritative industry sources with a view to identifying the latest trends with subsequent comparison and synthetic generalization of the data obtained.
