Abstract: The creative economy, based on the use of creativity, innovation and talent to create goods and services, has a significant impact on the economic growth and cultural development of countries. The article examines the experience of developing the creative economy in the United States focusing on its institutional frameworks and socio-economic impacts, as well as the role of government regulation of this fast growing sector. Examples of successful initiatives and programs aimed at supporting creative industries, as well as the participation of citizens and entrepreneurs in this process, are also highlighted.
