Abstract: Globalisation, climate change, population ageing, external immigration and the needfor sustainable energy supply are challenges for the European territory which transcendnational, institutional or policy borders. There is the EU experience concerning formation of models and systems of state regional economic policy regulation in this article for the salving mentioned challenges.
