Abstract:
This article discusses political science aspects of the political elite and its mechanisms of domination in modern conditions. Proposed definition of "political elite", highlighted its main features, developed a typology, showing the specificity of the Azerbaijani elite formation process is determined by its role in modern society and identify future trends.
