Abstract: In the actual modern society based on knowledge, recognizing the importance of human capital and promoting the investment in its continued development is an essential premise of the overall social and economic evolution. Regardless of field and its finality, human resource has a strategic role and the investment in its continuing education is the main support. Therefore, considering the importance of the continuing education is essential. Although numerous studies have attempted to reflect the perception of managers on the need to improve their employees knowledge, few of them have revealed major differences between the public and private sectors. This paper aims to establish a comparative behavioral study conducted among managers of public and private sector in Romania, and also to identify the level of influence on employees perceptions? of the managers? attitudes about continuing education.
