Abstract:
Tourism sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in the world economy for the last three decade. It is recognized as a key sector in the country’s economic development by taking an important role in improving the balance of payments and increasing the employment rate. It is important to know which industries provided inputs to the tourism sector for production, and also which industries are demanded the output of the tourism sector. This paper attempts to analyze the linkage coefficients of Turkish tourism sector by using the input-output table (2002) prepared by Turk Stat, and investigates the input-output relations for this sector.
