Abstract: Developments on statistics and computer sciences facilitate to test complex research hypothesis on social sciences. At this point, it is important to test statistical assumptions of methods. In this context, the aim of this study is to illustrate mathematical foundations of mediation, moderation and suppression effect analysis for this study be used as a resource in further research studies. It is considered that, this study will make a significant contribution to researchers while using methods which are not used commonly in Turkish literature. In addition to scientific studies which include the mathematical foundations of models, the frequencies of models used in studies in Turkish literature were also reviewed. Finally, some up-to-date and applicable suggestions are proposed to researchers for further studies.
