USE OF FUZZY TOPSIS METHOD IN SUPPLIER SELECTION DECISION AND AN APPLICATION

Abstract: Nowadays, the rivalry is among supply chains but not among the companies. The achievements of the companies are directly proportional to the relationships which are established with the suppliers’ long-term based and mutual trust. The survival of the companies at rough rivalry conditions depend upon to the study with the most accurate and most reliable supplier. In this respect, the decision of supplier selection decision exhibits of vital importance. In order to solve the problems of supplier selection, a multi-criteria decision-making techniques are utilized. These techniques, especially taken into consideration the negative effects of uncertainty on work-life, present more specific and accurate solutions to the companies. In this study, the supplier selection problem of operating in the textile sector entity which is engaged in contract manufacturing has been evaluated via Fuzzy TOPSIS (Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and provided decision support to the managers.
