Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to explore the effects of the psychological capital (psycap) on the burnout process. The data were gathered from 260 public sector employees with using survey method in the research. The structural equation modeling was used for analyzing the data. The findings showed that the relative important role of the ‘self efficacy’ and ‘hope’ factors of the psycap on the burnout process was explored. Moreover it was revealed that there were negative relations between ‘resilience’ and ‘optimism’ factors of the psycap and emotional exhaustion dimension of the burnout. All these results were discussed in the light of the findings in the literature.
