Abstract: This study aimed at investigating master and doctoral dissertations on occupational health and safety published between 1985 and 2001 in Turkish universities by content analysis. Totally 113 dissertations are included in the analysis. The dissertations are examined according to miscellaneous properties such as institutions that they belong to, subjects covered, the year of being published, involving any research, and sectors investigated; the results are presented by frequency distributions. Additionally, any significant difference among the dissertations according to the aforementioned properties is analyzed by a non-parametric statistical analysis, Kruskal Wallis test.
