Investigating The Levels of Sense of Identity Acquisition of High School Students in Terms of Some Variables

Abstract:
In this study, it was investigated whether the levels of the sense of identity acquisition of high schools students differ through some variables. This study was carried out with 1454 high school students. The data related to the students’level of the sense of identity acquisition werecollected by using “The Sense of Identity Scale†(Köker, 1997). For the data related to personal- social characteristics of high school students, “Personal Information Form†prepared by the researcher was used. In the analysis of the data, t-test and One-Way ANOVAwere used. When F test was found significant, Tukey HSD test was applied. According to the results of the study, the sense of identity acquisition levels of high school students differ according to grade point average, and satisfaction with their physical appearance, the state of approval of friends by the family.On the other hand, the sense of identity acquisition levels of high school students did not differ according to gender, age.
