Abstract: Op Art intending to create depth and three-dimensional illusion with geometric designs is one of the Abstract Art movements in the 20thcentury. Op Art that is also known as Optical Art composes the impression of motion on the picture surface using optical illusions with eye deceptive figures. The Op Art work, which is constituted by the systematic use of shapes and colours, strongly affects the retina through use of visual duality and creates the sensation of vibrating, flashing and motion via optical illusion. In this study, Op Art is examined as a movement and Op Art is created with the help of digital technology is studied as a practice in the present time. “The Op Art†, the serial work of Maggie Danon, an artist from Turkey, has been chosen as a sample in order to assess the changes in Op Art by using the computer technology.
