Abstract:
At the beginning of 20. century, novel esthetics shows differences from traditional (reflectional) novel esthetics in respect of form, editing, image, narration, technigues and time perception. Developments in communication, data processing and transport technologies effect the life styles as well as perception styles of human beings. Beside elitism, populism also obtains approval within the confliction between old and new, ordinary and extraordinary, material and metaphysics, reality and fiction, noble and judgements in which interests are coincide. Although it leads some discussions and criticism, the new life and thinking style postmodernism, establishes in the society. The postmodern literature term said orginally in United States in 1960’s corresponds the word of “meta fiction†as a new literatureesthetics. The postmodern writer who removes the rift between elitical literature and trival literature, plays the literature as a game and shakes the absolute trues and meta narrations. Pluralism in its basic philosphy consolidates the a democratic declination like approaching differences by tolerating and by accepting its existance. The deep-seated change started with “Tutunamayanlar†by O€uz Atay in Turkish literature develops in the postmodern line with “Kara Kitap†by Orhan Pamuk after 1990’s. Therefore, the said novel has become the subject of study.
