Abstract: In the 21st century, the use of the digital technologies has spread out the world and taken integral part of the societies in daily life. Naturally, the new generations has appeared who are born and live in the environments surrounded by digital media. When compared to the previous generations, new generations, called New Millennium Learners show important differences according to their predecessors in terms of cognitive, socio-cultural and educational domains. Moreover, for this generation, from “Digital Natives†to “Digital Wisdom†, the changing process is still going on. To educate this generation effectively, it is important for the educators to know what the characteristics of the new generation students are. Education starts first by knowing the target group. Therefore, in this article, New Millennium Learners’ features are examined and changes occurred due to the effect of technology are explained. Changing profiles of students’ and its educational expansions are investigated.
