Abstract: The article presents an analysis of the concept of gender and gender stereotypes. The difference between the concepts of gender and sex category is analyzed. The generally accepted international regulatory legal act on gender equality in the military are covered, and special attention is paid to the consideration of the main aspects of the national legislation in the aforementioned course.
