Abstract: The study presents a multidimensional comparative analysis of the decline in the number of passengers transported by air in Germany in 2020. The number of passengers in 2019 and 2020 as well as the forecast of the number of passengers transported in Germany for 2020 with actually transported passengers this year were compared. The Holt-Winters’ exponential smoothing method was used for forecasting. The obtained research results are important in terms of planning and ensuring the economic security of the air transport sector in Germany.
