Abstract:
The objective of this study was to analyze hypothetical employment in sectors of intensive knowledge in Poland in coming years, assuming a similar course of these changes in comparison to other European countries. In this paper the method of forecasting based on spatio-temporal analogies of Knowledge Intensive Services (KIS) employment was proposed. KIS has been treated as an indicator of innovative development. EUROSTAT database has been used in analysis. The resulting short-term forecasts indicate a likely change in employment in this sector in the coming years.
