Abstract:
Local Public Transport (LPT) is a subsidised sector by public funds both for service and investment. This manuscript focuses on balance sheets for 2010-2016 of a representative sample of the Italian LPT operators to verify whether the funding cut related to the spending review (2010-2012) and the reward system of the transport fund (2015-2016) have exposed the operators to a state of decline and/or crisis, and consequently called for turnaround policies.
