Abstract:
Assorted ways and means may lead to development, depending on the various intellectual and philosophical principles of the concerned economic schools regarding definition of development concepts, goals and criteria. This article tries to express the meaning of economic development and endogenous development. In the mean time, it explains the essential and fundamental role of endogenous development and institutions in the change process. Accordingly, the main bases of change process as well as the institutional requirements of endogenous development are expounded through the use of Content Analysis method. In line with such a goal, change process is formulated in the framework of a content model adopted from Douglas North’s ideas, taking Iranian endogenous context into consideration. Hence, it will cover a bunch of generalities about the institutional requirements to materialize endogenous development in Iran
