Abstract: The paper researches the trends of tourism on the European market, the influence of globalization processes on the Croatian tourism and the possibility of the development of the Croatian tourism under the globalization terms. Opinion survey of the experts confirmed that the future development of the Croatian tourism needs product and market modifications, as it is possible to enter the European tourist market on an equal footing with other countries only if new an enriching contents are strategically offered. Croatia has to offer a diverse product that will satisfy the needs of various market segments and that will approach to the market in a selective manner and consider its own specific features. In order for Croatia to successfully enter the European globalization processes, it is necessary to diversify and increase the quality of offer, and to develop the selective types of tourism, as the tourism market has already been differentiated in a manner that it respects the requirements of the market segments, European way of living and customs.
