ANALYSIS OF OPINIONS OF WHEAT FLOUR PRODUCERS IN EASTERN CROATIA WITH RESPECT TO SELECTED AGROECONOMICAL INDICATORS

Abstract: The overall objective of the study was to determine opinions on the agroeconomic issues related to processing of wheat. The survey included a total of 18 mills of various processing capacities and year of built in four counties in eastern Croatia, aiming to collect data on the facts, the conditions of production and sales, to observe the market situation in this separate sector on the Croatian market. Data were collected by means of a conveniently constructed questionnaire. We have focused primarily on the characteristics of opinions of the wheat processors, in thematic areas: State-politics-society-environment, Economy and technology, Purchase-sale-competition, Business level and Impact of EU integration. Descriptive characteristics of these thematic areas have been explored and their correlations and differences have been determined in relation to the business form and the county in which the processors operate.
