Abstract: In the paper space is defined as a fundamental factor in tourism development. Properties of the space must attract tourists to visit the destination, since the specific feature of tourism is travelling to a particular tourism destination that provides events for tourists. Tourism requires high quality space with specific natural, aesthetic, environmental and cultural values. A research was carried out to find out the attitudes of visitors of the Medieval Festival in Trogir on the attractiveness of the area of the old city of Trogir. Data collected in the survey were analysed according to frequency distribution. The results of the study indicate that the researched elements of aesthetic, environmental, cultural and ambient value of the old city space in Trogir are prerequisites for successful organization of event tourism. The satisfaction of visitors indicates loyalty of visitors to the brand and gaining of the wider recognition of the Medieval Festival and the destination. The overall tourism supply in Trogir should be developed in harmony with the environmental, cultural and historic factors.
