THE TOURISM INDUSTRY CULTURE OF THE DESTINATION OF PORTOROŽ (SLOVENIA): COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

Abstract: The subject of our research is the tourism industry (organizational) culture of the destination of Portorož (Slovenia). First, we present the theory in the field of organizational culture, industry culture and tourism industry culture from Croatian, Slovenian and other international authors. In the second part we focus on our research where we comprehensively study (organizational) culture, which is composed of the next industries: hospitality, restaurants, casinos and tourist agencies. For the comparison of industries, non-parametric tests were used: Kruskal-Wallis and additionally Kruskal-Wallis one-way ANOVA (K samples) test. The largest statistically significant differences appeared between the casinos and travel agencies (in eight out of eleven statements) meanwhile the least differences appeared among the food & beverage providers and hotels (in one statement).
