Taking a stroll in virtual reality as a new educational trajectory

Abstract:
The article deals with the issue of a new methodology of the educational process associated with the introduction of an interactive form of education i.e. a virtual museum into the training courses. The author hypothesizes that the virtual museum is an alternative not only to traditional lectures and practical classes, but also an opportunity for students independent work organization. The author reveals the essence of this educational technology, analyzes the experience of implementing virtual museums in the world and domestic practice. The focus is on the structure of virtual museum expositions, the main components and aspects that are important in the creation and development of a virtual museum, and the instrumental tasks of the project. Although the practice of virtual museums introduction to the educational process in general, and to the journalism block in particular, is not very wide, time dictates the need for the implementation of such projects. The potential of virtual museums is inexhaustible.
